Henderson and Donovan DMV Offices to Consolidate Into Silverado Facility
LAS VEGAS – The Nevada Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) is announcing the permanent relocation of its Henderson and Donovan offices as the department prepares to consolidate services at a brand new Silverado facility this fall.
The Commercial Driver License (CDL) office on Donovan Way will close at the end of the business day on October 9. The Henderson office located on American Pacific Drive will close at the end of the business day on October 14.
“We want to provide clarity about the upcoming closures of the Donovan and Henderson offices,” said DMV Director Tonya Laney. “Both facilities are aging and no longer meet the needs of our growing customer population. We also identified opportunities to improve accessibility, expand customer service capacity and provide more convenient parking options for the public. By bringing services together in one modern facility, we can create a larger, more efficient one-stop location that will better serve Southern Nevada.”
The Silverado office will feature more service counters, enhanced ADA accommodations, over 350 parking lot spaces, four outside walk-up kiosks, and two drive-through kiosks, which will provide the public with more flexibility and the ability to complete transactions outside of regular office hours.
Customers are still encouraged to go online and complete transactions without visiting an office. Several services such as registration, registration renewals, license or ID card renewals, address or name changes, and driver history printouts can be done through the MyDMV or DriveNV portals.
“We are making tremendous progress on our new Silverado office, and we look forward to welcoming customers through our doors very soon,” said Laney. “We expect to announce an opening date soon as construction is wrapping up and the facility is ready to serve the public.”
