3 Days, 3 Ways Nevada Republicans are Rubber Stamps For Trump’s Cost-Raising Agenda (Tariffs Edition)

With Donald Trump’s visit to the state to gaslight Nevada families just around the corner, NV Dems is launching a new series to highlight a few of the many ways Nevada Republicans running for Congress will be rubber stamps for Trump’s cost-raising agenda in Washington.

On day two, we’re calling out these Republicans for supporting Trump’s tariffs that are making life unaffordable for Nevadans.

From Marty O’Donnell declaring he “actually love(s) what he’s doing” to Carrie Buck deleting her tweet praising them to David Flippo explaining that tariffs are helpful in making a decision about buying a yacht, it’s clear Nevada Republicans running for Congress will never stand up for Nevada families and will always put Trump’s cost-raising agenda first.

When Republicans say they support Trump’s tariffs and trade war, this is what it means for Nevada families:

  • Nevada families are paying on average $3,300 more for groceries, gas, and everyday essentials since Donald Trump has been in office, with over $2,000 of that being directly attributable to Trump’s tariffs.
  • Because of Trump’s tariffs, nearly 50,000 Nevada jobs are in danger. In Washoe County, nearly 10,000 jobs that are dependent on trade are put in jeopardy because of Trump’s tariffs and in Storey County, a whopping 66% of all jobs in the county are in industries targeted by the tariffs.
  • Las Vegas had 7.5% fewer visitors in 2025 with 3.2 million fewer visitors than 2024 as the trade war rages on, keeping foreign tourists away.
